The DeYoung Natural Area barn preservation project focused on stabilizing and restoring the historic structures while honoring its agricultural heritage. Work included reinforcing the original framing and structural concrete foundation to protect the building for future generations. Careful craftsmanship preserved the barn’s character and patina, allowing it to remain a meaningful landmark within the natural area. The result is a thoughtfully restored structure that supports ongoing conservation, education, and community use.
